Cushman Farms in North Franklin, one of the members of The Farmer’s Cow (TFC) will be open its doors for a winter farm tour on Feb. 15, 1 to 3 p.m.
Get a first-hand look at how milk is produced, visit the cows, watch the cows get milked on a “merry-go-round,” and experience all that local agriculture is about.
“Our farm tours were extremely popular this past summer and we figured that many of the young children across the area had President’s Day off and would be interested in learning more about farming and where milk comes from,” said Robin Chesmer, managing partner with The Farmer’s Cow. “Cushman Farms is being gracious enough to open its doors and will also treat visitors to free milk and cookies during the event.”
Cushman Farms is located at 393 Lebanon Rd. (Route 87) in North Franklin, Connecticut. The farm tour is free and no reservations are required. For more information and directions to the farm visit www.thefarmerscow.com.
