Over There, Over Here: Life On The Fly

The International Paris Air Show is ready to celebrate a 100th anniversary.

Connecticut is represented by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc. and a trade booth for the state of Connecticut, both located in Hall 3.

Dates are June 19 to June 21 for the general public (the trade show portion is going on until then). The exhibition happens every other year in conjunction with the Farnborough International Airshow outside London.

Louis Le Portz is the chief executive officer for the air show, whose sponsors include Accenture, FedEx Express, Bombardier, Breitling, iXAir, MBK, Pommery, Volkswagen, Lazard, Bikeboard, French Aerospace Suppliers, and others.

Roughly the same number of international exhibitors, about 2,000, will be present, roughly the same as in 2007, the last show.

This year’s group of Connecticut companies is the largest to participate in the program since the show began.

Eight new companies as well as 14 that have participated in past trips are on site.

Each company exhibits in a 96-square-meter booth that includes several small meeting areas, two large video monitors, graphic displays showing products and services made in-state and static displays.
