The Fort Hill Farms Corn Harvest Celebration happens Friday, Sept. 16 to Sunday, Sept. 18.
“The full moon in September is called the ‘Corn Moon’ and with us being the host to one of New England’s premier corn mazes, we decided the time was right for us to salute one of our most valuable crops,” says Peter Orr, owner of Fort Hill Farms. “As a dairy farm and member of The Farmer’s Cow, corn is our most important crop because it keeps our cows fed and happy all winter long. Plus, it’s really hard to find someone who doesn’t love fresh, local sweet corn. Come and enjoy a total corn experience and take home memories.”
Specials and events include: Two-for-one admission to the Corn Maze Adventure - more than six acres and miles of paths to explore. Special nighttime and flashlight corn maze trips. Fire-roasted sweet corn on the cob, corn fritters, corn chowder, corn dogs and more. A bounce house for children plus animals in the barnyard, pumpkin picking, ice cream and food specials; and panning for gems and fossils at the Fort Hill Farms Mining Co.
Hours are Friday 5 p.m. until closing, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to closing. Admission is $12; $10, children. Two-for-one admission applies Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the harvest celebration.
