According to the digital press release by Richard A. Rivers, fair president/manager on the official web site:
"We may have a few minor changes in our daily event schedules as time goes on and those changes will be posted on our website as they are made.
"We will continue to answer the questions and give everyone alternate routes to the best of our ability. We hold out hope as roads are re-opening all the time and detours are arranged. We ask for our customers, vendors and exhibitors to check for road conditions before leaving home if they are at all in question.
"We would like to thank our entire staff, friends and family for all of the hard work over the past 50 plus hours. Everyone has done a phenomenal job and continue to work very hard to make the 2011 Vermont State Fair a success."
