Family Outing: 'Eyes On Owls'

Here’s an opportunity to meet a variety of owls up close and personal and learn how to “see” them in their habitats with a program hosted by the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center of Mystic - “Eyes on Owls” features naturalists Mark and Marcia Wilson and live owls on Thursday, April 21 at the StoneRidge Auditorium,186 Jerry Browne Rd., Mystic. Tickets are $10.

The Barn Owl Project Fundraiser On March 5

"Hob Goblin the Barn Owl" is the center of a March 5 fundraiser in Chester that will help barn owls, an endangered species in Connecticut.

Hob Goblin will star in programs to build awareness and promote the preservation of this unique species. Tickets are $25; all money raised will go directly to the Barn Owl Project. A Place Called Hope is working with other groups to host this event.
