Timberdoodle Field Trip Walk

Hawk in the sky, easy to see. Timberdoodles? Almost impossible.

Witness a fascinating courtship display of the American woodcock, a small game bird that returns to open fields in the spring, Thursday, April 4, 6:45 p.m. in Vernon, Conn.

This is a guided walk, sponsored by the CT DEEP Wildlife Division.

Connecticut Farm To Chef Week

Connecticut Department of Agriculture's "Farm-to-Chef Week," starts Sunday, Sept. 18 and continues through Saturday, Sept. 24.

More than 70 restaurants, caterers, food vendors and eateries will create dishes with Connecticut-grown produce and products.

Connecticut wines will also be featured.

Reservations are recommended fine dining.
