For owners and managers of one horse to hundreds, all size operations are welcome and also eligible for federal funds or guidance on best available management practices at the upcoming Southwest Connecticut Soil Conservation District workshop on June 5.

Funding assistance is available on a 75/25% cost share from USDA, NRCS on all practices implemented, which include roof runoff, composting, sacrifice areas, storage areas, more.
This workshop is aimed at improving water quality and sedimentation control on site through the management of agricultural waste on all sizes of operations.
