Horseshoe nails are made by an American company, Capewell, founded as The Capewell Horse Nail Company on January 17, 1881 in Hartford, Connecticut. A storied firm, Capewell products are well-known in the equine world.
In 1985, Mustad International Group acquired the nails operation of Capewell and founded Capewell Horsenails Inc. now located in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
