NFU Fly-In For Ag Policies

National Farmers Union (NFU) Fly-In is Tuesday, April 12 to Thursday, April 14, Washington, DC. Members from around the country visit Congressional offices to educate officials and their staff about agriculture policy.

The 2011 Spring Legislative Fly-In will begin with a 3 p.m. briefing on Tuesday and end at noon on Thursday, April 14. This smaller fly-in will focus on visits with selected, key members of Congress and will introduce NFU policy positions to newly-elected members.


Participants will specifically address conservation and energy policy issues in the 112th Congress and will be NFU's first grassroots efforts with 2011 policy from annual convention.

Approximately 175 producers and agribusiness professionals recently met for Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.’s 2011 Grazing Conference.  Speakers included Jay Waldvogel reporting on U.S. grazing producers and  the dairy global industry.
