Approximately 175 producers and agribusiness professionals recently met for Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.’s 2011 Grazing Conference.  Speakers included Jay Waldvogel reporting on U.S. grazing producers and  the dairy global industry.

Vermont Grazing And Livestock Conference

Learn pasture management basics, biological weed control, grazing season extension, soil compaction solutions and more at  the Vermont Grazing and Livestock Conference, Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee.

Keynote speaker is Tom Wessels, professor at Antioch University New England and author of Reading the Forested Landscape. Wessels is particularly known for his engaging style and bringing the history and vitality of New England to life through stories.

The conference is co-hosted by the Vermont Grass Farmers Association and the Vermont Beef Producers Association, with coordination provided by the UVM Extension Center for Sustainable Agriculture’s Pasture Program.
