Gooch Named CFT Executive Director

The Connecticut Farmland Trust (CFT) has named Jim Gooch as executive director. Gooch comes to CFT from the Portland, Maine, office of The Trust for Public Land where as program director he was instrumental in funding new conservation projects and building diverse partnerships. As executive director Gooch is responsible for the trust’s operations and relations with partner organizations, as well as donor cultivation and fundraising. Founded in 2002, CFT is the only private statewide conservation organization that protects working lands.

To date, it holds easements on 28 properties across the state; www.ctfarmland.org
